What are the reward programs?

Our reward programs are designed to help buyers get cash back when they purchase a home.

Will I pay more for my home if I get cash back?

No. The cash back you receive when you purchase a home comes from your agents commission. This has no affect on the price you pay for your home.

Will getting cash back affect my ability to obtain financing?

No. Getting a cash rebate from your agent will not affect your financing in any way.

Is giving cash back to buyers legal?

In California, there is no law that prohibits real estate agents from rebating a portion of their commission to their clients. Laws in other states may differ.

Why will an agent give cash back?

Agents spend a lot of time and money trying to get business (finding home buyers or sellers). By connecting you with an agent we have save him/her hundreds to thousands in marketing and advertising costs. Agents don't typically give cash back, but because they are saving time and money working with us, they are willing and able to rebate you a portion of their commission.

How is my cash back amount determined?

The amount of cash back you receive depends on a few things:

1. The price of the home you purchase.
2. The type of program you registered under.
3. The amount of commission being paid by the seller/bank.

If I register for a rewards program am I required to purchase with my assigned agent?

Yes. We assign you an agent who is willing to provide you with cash back when you purchase a home. If you decide to work with a non assigned agent you will no longer qualify for cash back.

I have just purchased a home and I am registered with your reward program, how do I get paid?

As soon as you submit an offer you should let us know through the "Ready to Buy" link to ensure you get paid in a timely manner. If you have already closed the deal, you can still get paid simply contact us.

I have not registered yet but I already found the perfect home; do I still qualify for a cash reward program?

Yes, simply register now by filling out the cash rewards form right away.

I’ve been working with an agent, but I would like ShortForSale to help me get cash back. Do I qualify?

To qualify for our rewards program you must work with an agent we assign you. If you already have an agent, he or she cannot represent you and they will be left out of the real estate transaction. Real estate agents only get paid when they successfully close a deal. Please be courteous of all the hard work your current agent has done before considering to leave your current agent prior to a purchase.

If I select the Solo-Buyer program can I switch to the Agent-Buyer program?

Yes, simply contact us with your request.

If I select the Agent-Buyer program can I switch to the Solo-Buyer program?

Yes, although restrictions may apply. Contact us with your request.

If I select the Agent-Buyer program, but my assigned agent is not doing a good job, can I switch to a different agent?

Yes, please let us know and we will assign you a different agent.

I have just purchased a home under your Solo-Buyer program but I have not been paid.

Please allow up to 2 weeks after you have purchased your home to receive your cash. If it has been longer than that contact us right away at 888.896.5551

I am registered under your reward program, but I just submitted an offer on a home with another agent, do I still qualify for cash back?

No. If registered under the our rewards programs a non-assigned agent cannot represent you. You will no longer qualify for cash back.
